Just What It Is.
Well BlogAmigos lets see what is going on in this crazy world we live in.
First, to all American Service Personnel, Veterans, and Those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Lord. God Bless You, Keep You Safe, and THANK YOU for YOUR SERVICE! You are the yoke on which this country is built. Without you where would we be.
Support Jasons Law. A law that is on the docket, HR 2156, to provide safe parking for truckers. Jason Rivenburg was a trucker trying to support his family. He parked in a known area where truckers would often go to spend the night. A coward approached his truck and killed him. For what, 7 dollars thats for what. The coward, Willie Pelzer got life without parole, which is way better than he deserved. Folks contact your respective federal representatives. R.I.P Jason.
To Americas Trucking Proffesionals and yes it is a skilled position, keep safe, be respectful, help your fellow person and do the right thing. May the Good Lord keep your wheels rolling and the trailer full.

Well Tiger Woods gets into an accident at 2:30 in the morning leaving his home. Now lets see, either the beer had run out, he was sneaking out, or he had just gotten into a battle with his spouse. Well, it turns out it was the latter. Now ol' Tiger has been sneaking various Sallies through the Alley's and of course now the come streaming out of the woodwork like a leaky pipe. Do we or should we care? I think not, but guess what Tiger? The truth will set you free. Next time dont lie, just come out and say I have done despicable things and I ask for time for me and my family. I ask you for our forgiveness and your patience. See simple.

Okay, lets light off a fireworks diplay indoors. Wow now that a good idea. Indoors? With a flammable ceiling, and hundreds of people in the place. Well folks thats just what they did in Russia. Results? 100 plus people killed. Tragic. Hey use that thinking apparatus and if it sounds dumb well chances are it is dumb.
Health Care is being debated in the Senate. Harry Reid and his Bandidos have come up with an ingenious plan. When asked about it he says we cant talk about it, it is in the Congressional Budget Office for review. Hey Harry, this is the public that you are talking to, who better should know what the heck you nuts are doing now than us? Why do these politicians actually think they are smarter than everyone else. They are not, not by a long shot. Then again, folks keep voting for Reid, Murtha, Franks, Pelosi, Durbin, Boxer, etc. etc. etc.
President Obama commited to 30,000 more troops for Afghanistan, however we pull out by summer 2011. That took months to consider? You tell your enemy when you will be leaving? Shoot if I were them I'd send out for pizza and beer, watch some tube and wait.
On another note, perhaps and just perhaps the draft should be reinstated. Just saying.
The Iranian government. Well the Iranian government seems to think that the way to govern is by suppressing their citizenry. This has been tried many times fellas, has never worked once and it wont now. You know what happens when you have masses without representation dont you? Hmmmm 1776 rings a bell. ( No pun intended, well maybe a little one.)
NFL season drags on. Yippeee.
College footballs BCS has been announced. If this isnt the most money grabbing scheme since the invention of Ponzi, I dont know what is. You know how this is stopped. Do what I do. I just dont care anymore. Not at all. I didnt watch one game this whole year. What is the point? At least with basketball you have to achieve something to make it to the chance to win a championship. This is just money, money, money.

Question, what is with all of these goofy apps on FaceBook? I dont care if you are in the Mob and rubbed somebody out. Ya know I have been messing with this Google Wave. It is an interactive app. a collaborator if you will. Folks can simultaneously work on things, throw things in throw them out. Kind of cool, just trying to figure out what I can use it for.
I'm in the Midwest and it is flippin cold. Hey Copenhagen, its cold here now. Funny, all of these global warming folks are all milling around Denmark, creating CO2, driving around an limos, all getting there in planes, wait maybe they could have used Google Wave.
Unemployment dipped from 10.2% to 10% but first time unemployment applications went up. Huh?
Job Summits at the White House. They invite execs whom have laid off tens of thousands of workers.
What comes out of it? More spending. Unused TARP money was supposed to go back to pay against the deficit. Which by the way is more in 11 months of this administration than at any other time. The rules were written. The money if not used goes against deficit. Nope now we are going to spend it.
Hey folks, MANUFACTURING. That will get us where we need to go, not insulating homes, not tax credits for companies that wont hire anyone anyway, and not infrastructure that no one has seen since the first go round of infrastructure improvements. MANUFACTURING. America was built on it, and can again be the leader. Wake Up, it really isnt that hard. Help rebuild manufacturing here and you will build a sustainable economy. See what happened when you let it all just slip away? Who is thriving? India? China? Brazil? Whose model do you think the are using? Give incentive to MANUFACTURING. Deflate the dollar so wages and goods are priced as they should be, open up markets. Jobs will follow in droves. Trust me, do it.
eMails exposing global warming deficiencies in data. Would not have imagined. I am not saying that the issue doesnt exist, I believe it does. But to the point that we are led to believe? I dont think so. I could be wrong. But when you get to the point where people breathing is a global warming issue? Please.
Funny, some countries looking into biotech meat. Seems livestock contribute too much to global warming.

Its truck driver appreciation week out there people. Lets give truckers a hearty thank you for all they do for us everyday. Bravo!
Question, how does one win an election if there is only one candidate. And if there is only one candidate and there actually is an election. What if the candidate voted for someone else?
Its been a year since the elections of 2008. Everyone feel better now? If one more person says, look what mess we were in before the new president and look where we are now. I think I may ask Scottie to beam me out of here.
Has anyone noticed fuel prices going up again? Oh thats right, hmmm what is it this week? Healthcare reform? Global Warming? Cap and Trade?
Is it me or does Nancy Pelosi never really look at anyone? Oh and if California wants to know why they are in the position they are in, well lets see, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstien? Get it?

Couple of Ramblings
First off, to what purpose does the ACLU serve? To bring a case to the Supreme Court of these United States to have a memorial cross to World War I verterans removed from a site in the desert that has been there for 65 years? People, hello? First of all, the memorial is there to honor Veterans that have paid the ultimate sacrifice so that these pinheads can have the freedom to what? Dishonor them?
The old First Amendment seperation of Church and State. Well lets take a look at the first amendment shall we? It says "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free excercise thereof". So where is the seperation of Church and State? Oh thats right nowhere.
Hey ACLU do us all a favor and remove the C from your tag. There is nothing Civil about what you are trying to do.
On another note. Is it just me, or does anyone outside of the cities that have a team still in the running for the World Series actually give a damn about any of it? Baseball should have ended at the beginning of October. Hey better yet, lets have a double header on Christmas!!! Lets play two boys!!!
ESPN, yes ESPN. Have you ever listened to a bigger bunch of windbags in all of your days? How can they possibly fit that many egos into one complex? Wait this just in, Manny has a misplaced dreadlock, more during SportsCenter. C'mon man. Now we hear about all this sex scandal stuff going on. News Update ESPN announces new channel. ESPN XXX. Save it, nobody cares.
Oh and when did the football season have games 7 days a week? Lets break it down boys. Bunch of sanctimonious, pompous, purveyors of poop. If you have taken the time to listen to these experts, take the time to check how often they are right. (And I am not saying I am cuz, I am not).
Matter close to my heart. The American Trucker. OTR, Local, you name it. The slogan if you bought it a truck brought it is about as truthful as truthful can be. There are many issues within the trucking industry, however, the job that these folks due should be saluted and commended. I will talk about this more in future posts. I am looking, evaluating, and studying OTR trucking as a possible career choice. With eyes wide open and fingers crossed.

Couple of thoughts today................................
Unemployment now stands at 9.7% and what is congress going to debate? Healthcare. When 10% or thereabouts of your work force is unemployed does healthcare strike you as the first thing that needs to be fixed? Call me naive but getting the work force moving would seem to be a very big step in the right direction to getting this whole economy moving.
Now I am not saying that Healthcare is not important it certainly is but you dont go about reform the way it is going now. Seems the insurance companies may be the biggest issue with everything being a precondition, we will only pay X when realistically they should pay Y, have surgery and be rushed out simply because the insurance companies dont want to pay. It really falls to profit and loss, market share, stock price, what does the street say about us today? ( that alone is a thought for another day ). Lets take a long look at what we have at this point, insurance companies, frivilous litigation driving malpractice insurance to strastopheric levels, big pharma, and baseline health costs. Bring in the brightest minds in the field to banter the subject not politicians that think they are the brightest we all know that is the furthest thing from the truth. Just watch CSPAN some time, and tell me you can believe what you see and hear. You could perhaps fit the intelligence level in half of a thimble. Lets not rush into what is at this point a black hole, and not known because one cant comment on what is really not known, and is there anyone out there that really knows what is on the table at this point? I think not. But dont blindly follow like a lemming you too will fall and that is a fall you dont want to take.
Ahhh back to unemployment. How is it good that "oh well we only lost 250,000 jobs last month instead of 600,000? At least the numbers are shrinking. The numbers are shrinking? Thats like saying the house is gone but my the nice front door is still there. None of it is good. If the numbers were say 35000 or 50000 then I would be the first to say we are making progress. For the record and for disclosure I am unemployed, and have been for a year. I have probably filled out over 2000 online apps for employment, with limited return. And yes, I have had professional resume, and cover letter help so if that is the problem then I guess the professionals arent very good at what they do. Some things I do know. When American based companies are freely allowed with no recompence to ship their jobs anywhere
and let more workers go that in itself needs a long look. If they want to keep their tax breaks, and every other break they get then that needs to stop. Will it? Of course not, not when they are pumping money into every campaign coffer of every politician in the land (Campaign reform, thought for another day, Ha!). Wages are a problem as well. Now I dont disparage anyone from making all they can but lets put something into perspective. When someone that plays a game for 4,5,6 months a year and makes sometimes 3 times as much in a year as someone that works a lifetime well what does that say? Everyone should strive to get the maximum they can, but does anyone ever say, " you know what? I have enough, I am content, I am happy where I am." You wont hear that because it only happens in rare circumstances and to truly enlightened individuals.
There was a time within business be it big or small, that there was a thing called a 3 year, 5 year, 10 year plan. This is where we are now in 3 we need and want to be here, in 5, in 10, and so on. Thought, analyzing, planning, attacking, reviewing and finishing and my look we have achieved what we have set out to do. But that doesnt happen what does is plan for this quarter, here is what the street thinks and this is what we need to do. The hell with the street. The person that figures out and gets support to build a company for the long haul will succeed. There is no thought of the future just the now. How does one think that big business became big in the first place, by planning quarter to quarter? I think not. Profit, profit, profit, should not always be the name of the game. Frankly cutting workforce is the easiest and quickest way to show gains, but just how long are these gains viable? A very short time. The folks that are still there are asked to do more, do more, do more, and what happens, burn out, stress and then what? Sickness, see full circle. And small business as well is not without blame. If you are in business are you not in business to take something small, and make it successful, expand and perhaps make it perhaps, big? Maybe employ are few more people, maybe take a chance on something new?
Its taken a long time to get to the point we are now. Somewhere, somehow our core values have been skewed. We have lost perspective, what is important and what is not? Material things bring happiness and I've got mine. Well you dont. You really dont.
